Opening Doors Dinner
October 9, 2025 @ 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm
On October 9th, we celebrated the men of Earl’s Place and Prospect Place at our Opening Doors Dinner. The room was filled with energy, laughter, and stories of finding the “road home.” You can find pictures here. Cornerstone Community Housing Fundraiser 2025 by Modern Day Motion
One of the most moving moments of the night was when Vincent shared this poem:
Home has always been a foreign place for me
Going straight, left, right, no matter which way I go
I’m never there
Going straight, left, right, no matter which way I go
I’m never there
Trying to figure out what this place is.
Does it have a door, a heart, a hug?
I don’t know if it says welcome on the rug.
Maybe they mean it.
I don’t know if it says welcome on the rug.
Maybe they mean it.
This place — home — I’ve never seen it.
I walked in this door that had Earl’s on the front.
Thank God they mean it.
We look forward to having you join us next year. Please check back later for updated information on the 2026 dinner.
