About Us

Cornerstone Community Housing:

Providing hope, help, and home to men experiencing homelessness as we work to address needs in our community.

Who We Are

Cornerstone Community Housing, a community and faith-based 501(c) (3) nonprofit, was incorporated in 1993 and is a recognized mission of the United Church of Christ.  The organization was the vision of Rev. Eugene Bartell, former pastor of First United Evangelical United Church of Christ, and several persons who volunteered at The Supper Club, a feeding program at the church.

Mission Statement

Cornerstone Community Housing has a twofold mission. We are dedicated to helping men experiencing homelessness rebuild their lives and to changing attitudes toward homelessness through outreach and education.
